Before there were EVs, VW's BlueMotion Polo was one of the world's most fuel efficient cars. To prove it we drove it 988kms from London to the Geneva Motor Show on one tank of diesel, with around 25 kilometres worth of fuel to spare.

We also filmed the entire journey non-stop in time-lapse, with the final video incorporated into an interactive website. The video playhead and controller was also the map tracking pin.
